Pumpkin is a nutrient-dense food that has been shown to regulate blood pressure, protect against prostate and colon cancers, combat diabetes and support a healthy immune system. In other words, we should be eating it far more often than Thanksgiving Day!

These Pumpkin Power Muffins pack a punch! We’ve paired the star of the show - pumpkin - with a hearty serving of vanilla Ka’Chava - a superfood blend that includes 24 grams of plant based protein, 26 essential vitamins and minerals, 8 antioxidant rich foods including tart cherries and açaí berries, 17 greens and veggies AND probiotics. What’s more? These muffins are vegan, so they suit our meat eaters and plant eaters alike. Still not convinced? We’ve added chocolate chunks to take these muffins above and beyond… enjoy!

Ka’Chava Vanilla Tribal Superfood:

Pumpkin Power Muffins (Pre-Run/Workout Snack; Makes 10-12 muffins)


  • 3/4 cup spelt flour

  • 3/4 cup oat flour

  • 1/4 cup vanilla ka’chava superfood powder (or use 1/4 cup vanilla protein powder)

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 2 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice

  • 1/4 tsp sea salt

  • 1 cup pumpkin purée

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup

  • 1/2 cup plain unsweetened almond milk

  • 1/3 - 1/2 cup dark chocolate chunks


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together dry ingredients. In a smaller bowl, whisk together wet ingredients. 

  3. Add wet mixture to dry and stir until just well combined - do not over mix. 

  4. Fold in dark chocolate chunks. 

  5. Distribute batter into a muffin tin and bake for 25 minutes, until golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
